Hi there, thanks for your interest in my craft: An Aquarian Realm. My name is Daniel, and I usually go by Dani (formerly The Plastic Crown). I was born in the city of Chicago back in 1993 but grew up in Burgos, Northern Spain, where I started tattooing in 2009. I’ve been making art for as long as I can remember. I consider myself a multifaceted artist: I draw, paint, sculpt ceramics, do jewelry, carve stones, make merchandise, and create music. I’ve been based in Chicago since 2016 and have been traveling the world since then, tattooing all over and seeking inspiration among all the ancient cultures and wonders of the world.

I own a small private studio in the city called Space Time Love, my creative sanctuary for everyone who walks through the door. I work with and respect all ethnicities, cultures, and gender identities. My art focus is on illustrative fantasy, although I find this to be quite limiting since I have a whole universe going through constant change and creation. But I really enjoy working on a wide range of concepts: nature, plants, trees, landscapes, animals, fairies, demons, dragons, creatures, tarot, astrology, symbolism and esotericism, memorials, ancient civilizations, among others.

Tattooing can be something we do for aesthetics, but there’s something about permanently marking the skin that transcends the physical. At a subconscious level, we may pick a tattoo design that resonates with our spirit without even realizing it. Going through the process of sitting and dealing with the pain can be profoundly healing. Bringing the inside out. I also enjoy working with more abstract concepts, interpreting dreams, capturing emotions, even with just an idea. No matter if you have a reference or not, I will help you capture your visions through my collaborative process.
